Why Kimbell Sherman Ellis

Company History

Kimbell Sherman Ellis was founded in 1987 with the goal of serving clients with a deep toolbox of services in politics and communications. Bob Sherman and Steve Kimbell had been top aides to Vermont Governor Madeleine Kunin, managing her campaigns and building her administration.

What began as a Vermont lobbying business quickly developed into a multi-state government affairs and strategic communications practice that managed complex issues nationwide.

Over the years, our services have expanded to include media relations and training, crisis communication, marketing, advertising and social media. We aggressively embraced the power of the Internet to leverage cost-effective solutions in both the public and private sectors.

The creation of FOCUS, a unique policy research and reporting practice, has further expanded KSE’s ability to keep clients on the cutting edge of complex policy issues throughout the U.S. and Canada.

We are now a firm of 23 professionals dedicated to integrating advocacy, public relations and new media to help clients achieve their goals today.
