Jackie Hughes, a lawyer, has been with KSE and its related law firm Kimbell Storrow Buckley Hughes, LLP since 2003. Jackie heads up the law firm and her practice focuses on banking, financial services, insurance, captive insurance and health care regulatory, licensing and policy issues.
Prior to joining KSE and KSBH, she was the General Counsel of the Vermont Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration for 11 years and represented that state agency before the legislature, the courts and administrative agencies. She also participated nationally on various committees and working groups on issues such as accreditation, captives and risk retention groups, privacy, and financial services modernization. She has also been a staff attorney and assistant attorney general with the Vermont Department of Taxes.
Jackie was born and raised in Moorestown, New Jersey and has lived in Vermont since 1976. She has a BA in Economics from UVM (1978; Dean’s list) and a JD from Vermont Law School (1981).
